I was born 1966 in Duderstadt, a small town near
Göttingen
in Lower Saxony, Germany.
I studied Psychology and Sinology at the
University of Göttingen,
where I received my diploma (psychology) in 1993.
From 1993 to 1997 I worked at the local Institute of Psychology, teaching
and doing research for my dissertation.
My research topics include birth order and psycholinguistics using mainly archival and
content analytical methods.
From 1998 to 2004 I worked as a research assistant at the School of Public Health at Bielefeld University.
My favorite recreational activities include chess, reading, all sorts of music and
my family (three children of 14 years, 5 years and 4 years, respectively)  .
